Doctoral Fellowship Leading to PhD in Veda
The University of Spiritual Research (USR), Napa, California, USA, invites applications from eligible candidates for doctoral fellowship leading to PhD in Veda. The PhD program is conducted in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India, in association with the Satyachetana Educational Trust.
Eligibility Criteria
1.Minimum 60% mark (A-grade) in Sanskrit post-graduate/master’s degree program from recognized university.
2.Specialization in Vedas/scriptures/grammar.
3.Minimum four years Sanskrit study after completion of +2 schooling or high school.
4.Minimum age: 23 years.
Selection Procedure
1.Eligible candidates will be screened from online applications.
2.An online chat interview will be conducted after correspondence via email.
3.After passing the online interview, candidate will be called for a final written test and personal interview at USR’s research campus in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu.
4.Candidates will appear at their own cost.
5.Selected scholars will receive a fellowship of one lakh per year for three years.
6.All scholars must remain in Tiruvannamalai for the initial six months of the program to receive training in research methodology.
7.Scholars will be offered free accommodation and food at the Tiruvannamalai research campus during the initial six-month period.
8.The PhD degree work must be completed during the three-year fellowship.
